LONDON CALLING

The NFL announced that four games will be played in London next season. That’s more games than in any previous year. It equates to half of a home schedule regular season.
Three teams will play their first regular season games in London in 2017 at either Wembley or Twickenheim Stadium.
At the conclusion of 2017, 26 teams will have played in London since they started the series back in 2007.
The question is, does it work?  It certainly does.  Sunday viewership of NFL games has more than doubled and the Super Bowl audience has increased more than 75 percent since 2007. Those numbers will most probably shoot through the roof this year when the Cowboys make their first Super Bowl appearance in over 20 years…(just making sure you are paying attention).
The NFL has developed new and stronger business partnerships in the UK  and amateur football participation has increased 15 percent. American football is now an officially recognized sport in UK universities and schools.
